Description:
For sale is a 1903 L.C. Smith A2. 26" barrels. It has been restocked. It has been rebarreled with L. C. Smith Eagle Grade barrels. The bore diameter is .726 in both barrels. Rt. barrel choke is .004. Lt. barrel choke is .008. LOP is 14.75". DAH is 2.25". DAC 1&3/8". There is a very minor amount of pitting in the left barrel. It is about the size of the tip of a pen and it is very shallow. The ejectors work and so does the barrel selector. The really good news is the case colors. They appear to be original and about 90%. The wood as you can see from the photos is very well figured English Walnut. It has 5/16" cast off with rt. palm swell. Only 207 of these were ever made. all serial numbers match. The engraving in my opinion is the best style of the four patterns of choice. This is the second variation. It has the English rose and sroll with some game scenes as well. If this gun was at 90% it would approach 20K. Because of the modifications it can be had for a lot less and still look just as good as any of them. SN. 202039.
