Description:
Hand ejector model of 1896, S&W's first swing out cylinder model. Revolver has several unique features, cylinder stop is on the top strap and the cylinder is engraved between the flutes with manufacturing and patent info and the cylinder unlocked by pulling out the ejector rod, there is no thumb latch. Barrel length is 6". The finish is an overall even brown patina with a few small pits on the barrel, the grips are worn with left grip having a chip on the very bottom, bore is clean. No suprises, this is a well used gun and apparently well loved as well. A good basic collectors gun not found everyday.
