#559, Champlin Bolt Rifle in 378 Weatherby Magnum that was finished in House on April 30, 1979. It remains exactly as ordered and is still as new. It was engraved by the Master Mr. Frank Hendricks. A 26" Octagon barrel with a Machined Integral full length rib, front ramp and barrel sling stud, 3 leaf express folding rear sights, Original installed Griffin & Howe side mount that was installed properly with all 5 screw & taper pins being blind, Tang safety, Canjar single set trigger, Two panel bolt knob checkering, Hinged floorplate with a center bow release with a spring actuated lock, Jeweled bolt and follower; 20% coverage of very crisp engraving on the receiver, trigger guard, floorplate, barrel breech and the muzzle by Frank Hendricks, Keith Grade stock with a well laid out piece of English Walnut, Stocked by then our in house stocker Mr. Maurice Ottmar, Full checkering with a full carved ribbon on both the forend and the grip, Ebony forend tip, Skeleton grip cap with wood checkering, 2 screw tiedown rear sling eye, 14 7/8" lop over a 1" decelerator pad, Proper big bore weight at 11 lbs. 4 oz. without the scope and 12 lbs. 4 oz. with the Zeiss 4 x 32, The original blue is at 99.5%, The oil finished stock remains at 99%, The checkering is at 100%, The bore is excellent plus. It is cased in a full length oak & leather trunk from CSMC with a canvas cover.
