Description:
1962 FN B2 12ga 30" narrow (8mm) vent rib - XF/M Trap model engraved (double-signed) by Nelly Watrin. 5-digit serial (pre-alpha/numeric code) manufactured November 1962 (as confirmed by FN archives). 'Most desirable RKLT and 'Y'-tang configuration. Factory original (except for pad) AND all original finishes (i.e., means exactly what it says) - all matching numbers - typical FN natural gray finished trigger - scarce 'factory' Monte-Carlo stock (1-1/2" parallel comb). Std. semi-beavertail trap forearm. Neutral cast 14-3/8" standard LOP. Weight: 8lbs but it has the handling dynamics and balance of a 'Lightening' weight gun. The pad that arrived on this gun was dreadfully unappealing and did not appear original so I had a 'period'-correct Browning 'White-line' field pad professionally installed. I still have the other pad. I have no other information about this gun's history or provenance other than I imported it from the UK in 2015. Chokes measure .041"/.018". Subjects: Calling Capercaillie (ca-per-KAY-lee) right side, Pheasants left, Partridge on bottom. Exceptional dark wood grain and original finish. A scarcely-seen FN B2 Grade example (especially in this condition) in the States and excellent example of the early 60's Browning quality in a popular FN pattern by a noted FN engraver. Basic engraving details are very similar to, (and FN equivalent price range of) the Browning Pointer Grade which is why this B2 is listed here. This gun breaks Trap targets with ease and would also be a great trap doubles, 'high-bird' pheasant or 'ZZ-bird' (helice) gun.

The only 'faux-sculptured' frame in the Browning patterns was the scarce and highly-desirable Grade IV pattern.
