Remington introduced the Model 11-48 in 1949 and it was produced until 1968. It was the replacement for the Model 11 and was a long-recoil operated semi-automatic shotgun, meaning the barrel moved to the rear as the gun was fired to eject the spent shell and feed another to the chamber. They made a lot of Model 11-48 guns, but few in the delightful 28ga. THIS GUN IS A VERY RARE, SPECIAL GUN INDEED! It is one of a handful FACTORY ENGRAVED “F GRADE WITH GOLD” Skeet models ever produced, and it is in 99% factory original condition. This gun is factory documented and we have ordered a letter from the Remington Society of America and should be available soon. This fine F Grade, sn4011549, has gorgeous F Grade wood with fancy, fine checkering, no cracks or repairs, 25” Skeet choked vent rib barrel, mechanics are excellent, and there are only a few light handling marks on the gun. It has been shot very little. Remington F Grade guns are highly sought after by collectors of fine shotguns and will continue to be a sound investment that will grow in value as you enjoy their use. The 28ga. guns in particular have a special place in history as they are so fun to shoot and were made in such small numbers. Don’t let this one get away. Thanks for looking!
