Description:
Lay-a-way available for this 1947 Winchester Model 21 20 gauge (serial # 17088) with 28" barrels choked imp cylinder & modified. As the Cody letter states, this nice little 21 was made for Martha Wright of Newark, Delaware and she requested that her name be engraved on the trigger plate. This Winchester was finished on August 20, 1947 and shipped to Edward K. Tryon Company of Philadelphia, PA. At that time, Edward Tryon also sold her one of his leg-o-mutton cases with her name and home town embossed on it. This 21 and the case remain in good condition. It has a SST, ejectors, auto safety and Winchester logo butt plate. It has a LOP of 14", DAC at 1 1/2", DAH at 2 1/2" and it weighs in at 6 lb 5 oz. Both bores measure .615, 2 3/4" chambers and top lever to the right. It locks up Winchester 21 tight and pretty nice looking wood also. This little SxS came with a picture of the original owner, Martha Wright, shooting it. Don't miss your chance to own one of the classics of the American made SxSs.
