The J.P. Sauer Co. in (at the time) West Germany was well known to make some of the finest production rifles in the world. In 1974 Colt contracted with them to produce the Colt/Sauer line of rifles which have gained the reputation of both excellent beauty and performance. This 1979 vintage Colt Sauer 30-06 is "as new" in its original box and appears to be unfired. It comes with a set of new in the box Redfield SR scope bases which have never been mounted on the rifle. Sorry, no paper-work. These rifles have not been available since 1985 and it would be hard to find another like it.
