Here we present an antique Smith & Wesson .38 Single Action Second Model Revolver, made circa 1878. These were made from 1877 through 1891, and were an improvement on the First Model. It features an improved automatic star ejector and a short housing that took form as a barrel underlug. S&W revolvers have always been of high quality, this one being no exception.
This specimen is in very good condition. The original nickel finish is quite intact. Markings are clear. The grips are checkered hard rubber with the Smith & Wesson monogram. Bore and chambers are in good condition. Action is excellent.

Barrel is 3-1/4 inches in length.
