CUSTOM WINCHESTER 1885 HIGHWALL IN .45-90 CALIBER, this is an attractive custom rifle built on an antique serial number Highwall receiver (#84XXX made 1898), it was made with a really attractive high grade nicely figured walnut pistol grip stock with checkered steel shotgun butt plate, the forearm is of matching walnut and is fairly wide with schnable tip, the barrel is a heavy round 26" that measures a full 1.09" at the muzzle, rear sight is a Krag rifle sight that is adjustable for windage and elevation and also has the original Krag "notch or slide-up aperture" for sighting, front sight is a globe that will take apertures, exc. wood, receiver and barrel are a thin blue/gray, bright exc. bore, nice recessed target crown on muzzle, tight action with very light trigger pull, unmarked except for caliber designation on the side of the barrel, should be a fine target or hunting rifle, weighs right at about 11 lbs.
