Description:
This is a BSA Martini .22 single shot target rifle resleeved to .22 magnum. The gun is very clean with walnut stock and forend. It has Parker Hale front and rear sights with full adjustments on rear. It has a bull barrel and has been drilled for a scope. An original rear sight on the barrel has been partially removed. I think this was done at the time of the addition of the Parker hale sights, which were made for this gun. Bluing is very good with very little wear. There is a spot on the under side of barrel forward of the forend that must have been for a wedged steel support for a sling. Can't figure out what else it would be for. There is also the remains of what looks like a brass screw at the bottom front portion of forend. It may have been to support a sling?
Should be a very good target rifle...a less expensive alternate to a Wincherster model 52.
