This pistol was manufactured in early 1969.   The pistol is in good condition. The original walnut grips have no cracks but do show evidence of wear.  The exterior metal surfaces have no rust although there is some pitting and minor scratches but no major flaws. This pistol comes with the original factory magazine (one). The exterior is as pictured with flaws as described. The pistol which features the Sport 4 1/2” barrel has evidence of use by the sheen of the breech and bolt face, the bore is in excellent condition and shiny.  Rifling of the barrel appears to be very sharp.  Also included is the original leather holster.   This pistol bares the usual wear and tear of a ‘plinker’ that was used but not abused.  While we would not describe this as an investment grade Colt Huntsman, this pistol is sure to bring back memories for you and create new memories with your family at the range.  A great starter pistol as well as a great camping/hiking accessory.  Serial Number 004885S indicates this pistol was manufactured in early 1969 making it 48 years old.     1969 Colt Huntsman Sport Model .22 LR Caliber Pistol S/N 004885S  Description: Colt Huntsman Pistol .22 lr caliber 4 1/2" heavy barrel Made in early 1969 Original walnut checkered grips Fixed rear sights, blade front 10 round magazine Bore is bright and shiny Smooth action Good overall condition Rear cocking serrations Original Leather Holster Reproduction Colt Huntsman Instructions, tag and warranty card   THE THREE SERIES There are three series of Woodsman pistols, corresponding to three basic frame designs. First Series refers to all those built on the S frame as it existed prior to and during World War Two.
