German Model 1879 Reichsrevolver "Unit Marked", made by V.C. Schilling & Company, serial # 43, cal. 11mm German Ordnance, has a 7" barrel with a good plus bore that shows some scattered light peppery pitting between the lands. The frame (date stamped 1881) shows a balance between original blue, fading and oxidation staining, the barrel shows oxidation staining throughout with silvering. The walnut grips are very good showing a few dings, handling marks and abrasions but nothing alarming. All visible serial numbers are matching and there is a unit marking on bottom of the grip near lanyard which reads "33.A.3.58." which is likely an artillery unit marking. A great piece for the collector of German or military firearms. These revolvers are becoming scarce and this one is in good plus plus - very good condition overall. Inv,: # 12-141
