Description:

Antique EUROPEAN Dragoon Officer’s Percussion Pistol

19h Century Long Barreled Horse Pistol

Here we present an antique European Officer’s Percussion Pistol, made circa 1840. This pistol was made with a very long 13-1/2-inch barrel, not something just anyone would have wanted on their belt for self-defense on a daily basis. It would have been carried on the pommel of a horse or worn on the belt of an officer. It was also decorated with light engraving on the lock, stylized hardware opposite the lock, and a carved stock. These upgrades are noticeable enough to confer a sense of rank, but modest enough to still be practical on the battlefield.

The overall condition of the piece is very good. The stock is solid with just a bit of chipping to the nose cap at the muzzle. The bore is in good condition. The action is functional.

Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction.

Barrel is 13-1/2 inches in length.

Caliber: .64 percussion

Overall condition as seen in photos.

The bore is in good condition. The action is functional.

Here is a very long barreled percussion pistol!
