Description:
Serial #85102, .380 ACP, 3 1/2" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is one of the few Czech military CZ.24 pistols appropriated by the German Navy following the occupation and has matching numbers on the frame, slide, and barrel with the metal retaining 95-97% of the original blue finish with some mild fading on some of the high edges. The trigger and safety retain most of their original, bright straw color with bright gray metal on the balance. The one-piece walnut grip is in excellent shape as well, with only minor handling marks and minor blemishes marring the original oil finish. The pistol has Czech military proofs on the right side of the frame, “J (Czech Lion) 29"; and the Kriegsmarine Eagle added to the right side, above the trigger. The pistol comes with two magazines; on is original and numbered to the gun, while the other has non-matching numbers. Additionally, the pistol is housed in an original Kriegsmarine stamped leather flap holster which is also in fine-near excellent condition. The Kriegsmarine procured no more than about 200 CZ.24 and CZ.27 pistols in total after the occupation of Czechoslovakia. Jan C. Still notes in his book (“Axis Pistols"; 1987) that only three of the KM CZ.24s had been reported, making this one of the scarcest of the KM marked pistols. This example is in excellent condition overall, and comes with a correct, KM marked holster as well. FFL or C&R
