Description:
Serial #P9948, 8mm Mauser, 29" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a Brno-made rifle but retains 98-99% of the original blue finish that has silvered very slightly at the muzzle, as well as in a few tiny spots along the exposed barrel, and on some of the high edges of the trigger guard and receiver. The matching numbered bolt is finished armory bright, and has only a few negligible specks of darker freckling here and there, including on the handle and bolt knob. A small import mark is present on the underside of the barrel ahead of the nosecap. The handguard and matching numbered stock are in excellent condition with only a handful of minor surface marks, and the Farsi stamps are still crisp and clear. Also included with the rifle is an original bayonet that is likewise in excellent original condition with armory bright blade, hilt fittings, and an excellent blued metal scabbard. This is an extremely nice example of a high quality, European-made contract Mauser that is in excellent condition overall. FFL or C&R
