Payment Types Accepted: Check or Credit Card Description: Wilson Single Shot Pistol – England ca. 1840 Magnificent percussion single barrel pistol signed Wilson, in script, on the lock and London, in script, on a beautiful Damascus smoothbore barrel. This fine English pistol is approximately .40 caliber, has a 9" barrel and measures 14” overall. It has beautifully designed engraving on the tang, lock, cock, and trigger guard. The barrel retains its original Damascus pattern and has a patented breech. The stock is walnut and has very fine checking. The stock is embellished with a flared “palm grip” below the checking, an unmarked oval silver plate behind the tang and a silver nose cap. It has iron hardware with a ramrod made of ebony with an ivory tip. The overall condition of this pistol is excellent and retains its original patina. The markings are clear and legible. The grip and bore are in fine condition. The action is excellent. This is a very desirable flintlock pistol by a well known family of gunsmiths.
