Description:
From a mid-west estate sale, a Remington-Lee, bolt action, box magazine, full stock rifle with bayonet lug. 30-40 Krag (30 Govt.) cal. 29 1/2" blued barrel, receiver, butt plate and fittings. The metal finish appears to be oringinal to the gun and is in good conditon with a few spots (see photos). The metal has a very nice even patina (see photos). The wood stock is in good condition with no cracks but several dents and dings over 118 years. The stock has a metal butt plate, trigger guard/floor plate, two barrel bands and two sling swivels, the only fault I can find with the entire gun is an old repaired chip at the rear of the receiver (see photos). I have not cleaned this gun and the dark bore may clean up. This is a very nice old original piece that is complete in every way with the exception of missing the box magazine.
