CASED FACTORY ENGRAVED REMINGTON-RIDER .32RF EXTRA SHORT CAL. MAGAZINE DERINGER CA. 1870’S. Five shot repeating derringer with 3” octagon barrel addressed “E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION, N.Y./RIDER’S PAT. AUG. 15TH 1871”. 100% original and near mint condition with 99% nickel plating. Has nearly all the bright blue and case hardening on the hammer and breech block. Beautiful Remington factory American scroll engraving. Original pearl grips in excellent condition as well. Fine working order and excellent bore. Original rare factory leather covered case with dark green velvet lining and five shot cartridge block with 5 of the rare .32 RF Extra Short cartridges-all in excellent condition. Formerly in the James Ellwood Jones, Jr. collection sold at Bourne Co. in 1981 and off the market ever since. Very rare.
