CASED RARE MINT FACTORY ENGRAVED REMINGTON SMOOT’S PATENT 1ST MODEL .30 RF CAL. REVOLVER CA. 1875. 5 shot with 2 13/16th inch octagon barrel. Distinctive separate fixed recoil shield that denotes this early model. All matching and complete in the 3xx serial range. 100% original nickel and beautiful Remington factory American scroll engraved overall. Hammer with original case hardening. Two piece pearl grips in mint condition. Perfect working order and probably unfired with mint bore. In the near mint Remington factory walnut case with original dark red velvet lining. Includes a full box (50) of rare .30 RF Short W.R.A. Co. green label cartridges in excellent, unopened condition. The finest factory engraved 1st Model Smoot we know of. Excellent early collection provenance.
