RARE ORIGINAL CARVED CALIFORNIA PATTERN SLIM JIM HOLSTER FOR THE MODEL 1851 NAVY REVOLVER CA. 1850’S. 11 ½” length for the 7 ½” barrel Colt 1851 Navy Revolver. Almost identical to the one pictured on page 86 of Richard Rattenbury’s very fine book “PACKING IRON”. Excellent condition with the original buckskin lining and very nice supple leather with well defined incise floral carving showing only light wear-particularly for one of these. Muzzle plug missing but original strap in back in good condition.
