Kopec letter is included outlining the gun's history. It was one of 800 guns the New York Militia sent back to Colt for refurbishing in 1895. The serial number {112643} falls between the Cavalry and Artillery range. The barrel was not cut and the serial numbers match. See page 137 of Kopec's book Colt Cavalry & Artillery Revolvers.The condition is like new with all case color and blueing intact.
