Offered here for your consideration is an antique 3rd Model Winchester 1873, serial #315XXX in the preferred caliber, .44-40, made in 1889. This rifle has been cleaned and little finish remains, but the wood is very sound, with only a few very small bruises. Mechanically, this piece was recently checked by a master gunsmith, and is in excellent condition, with an outstanding bore that rates a solid 9 on a scale of 1-10. This would be a good shooter for cowboy reenactment shooting, or just all around fun.

VERY GOOD: All original parts; none to 30% original finish; original metal surfaces smooth with all edges sharp; clear lettering, numerals and design on metal; wood slightly scratched or bruised; bore disregarded for collectors firearms.
