Description:
For sale an original French Model 1822 Flintlock which was converted to Percussion in the early part of 1840's. It is in 70 caliber as was the muskets at the time. This pistol would have seen a lot of use in Europe at the time. Somehow it found its way into the United States. It was made in the French armory of St Etienne. This gun functions well but the nipple which can be replaced shows a lot of wear. The stock was cracked and professionally repaired by gluing and pinned. If you look close you can see the crack and the pins. A great collector piece but is not sold to shoot. The ramrod is a replacement. The price reflects the repaired stock. Well marked with some pitting see photos. Shipping cost is only for the lower 48 states.
