Colt M1877 Lighting .38 Colt. Colt's first double action revolver, also known as the Model 1877 or Model 1877 Lightning, produced from 1877 to 1909 almost exclusively in .38 Short Colt then .38 Long Colt. Matching serial numbers of “56768” dating the manufacture to 1886. 6 shot capacity, 4 1/2” barrel. Original grips, normal wear for its age, specifically on the barrel and cylinder, refer to pictures for a better idea of this lighting’s condition.
