Description:
If you are looking for an economical double gun that can stand some shooting and function every time whether it be on the clays course,in the duck blind, or the pheasant fields. One that can digest modern ammo with never a hiccup or concern this may be it.This is an early Model 21 as evidenced with the low serial number and the early style forend latch with the button which I prefer over the later style as it is so much easier to operate.At some point someone spent some money restocking this gun with a decent stick of wood.The checkering is still sharp and the finish is an easy 98%+ on the wood.The metal was also reblued.Whoever did it left a little to be desired with their polishing ability.With the right light and angle you can spot evidence of what appeqars to be some minor pitting that was not totally polished out.The bores are still bright and shiny,gun locks up tight, and the barrles ring like a church bell.Gun left the factory choked M/F and still measures a .034 (L) and .012 (R) which is within Winchester M/F specs.Has what is most likely the original Winchester plastic butt plate on it.From the looks of the wood,metal,and the breech face I seriously doubt if this gun has had more than a few boxes put through it at most since it was refurbished.Breech face shows little to no wear.
