Description:
First Year (1954) 4" Colt Trooper chambered in the seldom seen .22LR. This example also has the very desirable Wide Spur Hammer and Target Stock option. The original dual-tone blue finish and over all condition is about 99% with only the tiniest of bluing loss on the very edge of the barrel (see pics). The action is crisp, lock up is tight, bore is clean and the grips are like new. There is a very slight, barely visible turn line on the cylinder. The condition of the cylinder face, recoil shield and forcing cone appear to indicate VERY little use, if at all. It might be unfired since leaving the factory but have no sure way to tell. About 10% of first generation Troopers were chambered in .22LR with the rest being either .38 Special or .357 Magnum. Sorry but no box or papers, but a rare gun in this condition to be sure...
