EXCELLENT SAVAGE MODEL 99 STANDARD .300SAVAGE LEVER ACTION RIFLE WITH PERIOD SCOPE, CIRCA 1950'S. Serial number "660XXX" but lever boss so small I can't make out letter year of production code after "20". 24" standard barrels with crisp barrel addres and crisp rifling with brilliant bore. 100% original factory blue remaining on barrel. 90% original factory blue remaining on receiver with unturned screws. Lever with most of it's original case colors. Lyman all american perma center 2.5x scope with weaver rings excellent from the period or just after. Lymans at this time were considered along the lines of Leupold today. Clear optics. Factory Savage buttstock and forend with original checkering crisp. Original light oil finish with NO dings. Factory sling swivels and Savage steel buttplate. Lever safety and perfect working order with no play in lever. Prime example.
