Just received this very nice "S/42" (Mauser) 1938 chamber dated "Luger". These pistols were fitted with a 4 inch barrel, "S/42" stamped rear toggle, chamber dated 1936 to 1940, fitted with checkered wood grips, and chambered in 9mm. This pistol is in excellent condition, retaining 95% of its original finish, with some minor thinning on the grip and back-straps and some thinning at the muzzle and sharp edges of the receiver, due to holster wear. It is all numbers matching (including the grips), except for the magazine, which is also in good condition. The grips are in excellent condition, with sharp checkering, the bore is bright and the action functions "as new". A very nice example of the famous WWII German Military Pistol.
