1898 KRAG RIFLE, .30-40 CALIBER, #388XXX, MADE 1902, a nice honest example with good 1902 dated stock cartouche, overall an obviously issued rifle that was used but well maintained, wood overall shows handling but is solid and never sanded, correct swivels, barrel blue is thinned and mixing gray but smooth, mottled gray receiver with good blue on the extractor, exc. bore, tight action, sight lever screw is a replacement, overall a good Krag with an excellent bore and cartouche.
