Description:
This is a Winchester Model 1897 12 gauge shotgun. The 28” blued barrel has lost most of it’s finish toward the receiver and is developing a patina. There are small clusters of shallow dents, but few can be seen from the otherwise undamaged bore. You can see a few dents from inside the bore. This barrel has a bead sight and a full choke. The receiver is in similar condition. Most of the finish has worn off and the metal is patinating. There are shallow scattered dings and freckling as well. The bolt and elevator have patinas as well but are not pitted. The walnut forend and buttstock are in rough condition. There is a large chunk missing from the forend and the buttstock has been cracked and chipped at the wrist. No repairs have been done on the damaged wood. The buttstock has a few scattered dents and scratches and a checkered Winchester buttplate. Length of pull is 14”, overall length is 48”, and weight is 7.8 lbs. Our stock number is #A391.
