Description:
Smith and Wesson .38 M&P “Victory” Model. Double action Revolver built on the square-butt K frame with five screws. V place in the serial prefix for “victory” against the axis powers in WWII. 5” barrel with good bore, six shot fluted cylinder. Pre-Safety fix, not marked with "S" but does have multiple “P” proof marks on the cylinder, behind the recoil guard and on the barrel. Serial number marked “V 898061”. Not marked with “U.S. Property”, possibly made by the Defense Supply Corporation and civilian user sold i.e. post office, defense plants, police, ect. Parkerized finish is in fantastic shape, overall great shape for its age.
