Description:
Smith and Wesson .38 Military and Police “Victory” Model. Double action revolver built on the square-butt K frame with five screws. V placed in the serial prefix for “victory” against the axis powers during WWII. 5” barrel with a good bore, six shot fluted cylinder. Pre-safety, not marked with “S” or “SV” prefix. Does have the standard marking after lend-lease “United States Property” on the topstrap as well as a “G.H.D.” marked next to the lanyard ring near the serial number prefix. The serial number reads ”263856”. In great condition with minimal user/action wear. Also note an arrow followed by “R.C.A.F. 1(or 7)B/296” assumed to be a Royal Canadian Air Force marking electro penciled on the backstrap making it post 1941.
