For those seeking the Model 44, Stevens here it is in caliber 25-20. The serial number on the firearm is 45603, the barrel is half octagon, with the bluing having started it's fading process. The wood has minor scratch's from it's age, and history. The break open action is still tight, and shows no problems with loading or wear.
