Winchester Model 52 .22LR caliber rifle. Model 52B Sporter. Excellent bore. Manufactured in 1940. Action works perfectly. Barrel has 96-98% original blue, as does the receiver. Trigger guard and extension have approximately 50-60% blue with the rest having flaked leaving a smooth patina. Stock is very good plus condition. Factory checkering and minor handling marks. Gun has a vintage “of the period” Stith mount and a Bausch and Lomb scope with lateral crosshair and center fine taper post. Optics are perfect. The Stith mounts were the predecessor for the Bausch and Lomb mounts from the 1960’s where the scope adjusts for windage and elevation by adjusting dials on the mount rather than the scope. If you are not familiar with Bausch and Lomb scopes or mounts please ask your father or maybe your grandfather as they probably are familiar with them. They do work well. This is a very good 52B and probably shoots just as well as a 52C for a lot less money.
