*** SOLD *** SOLD *** 1957 Savage 99F Featherweight (serial # 922387) in 243 Winchester with 22" barrel. On top is a period Lyman "Alaskan All-Weather" 2 1/2 power scope mounted with a Stith "tapless" scope mount with set-up windage & elevation adjustments built right into the bases. The boss code was light stamped at the factory and unreadable, but knowing the LOP is at 13" narrows it down to 1957, the second year of the 243 Winchester in the 99F. The LOP was increased to 13 1/2" in 1958. The 22" barrel shows no evidence of ever having a front sight, which leads me to believe it was ordered this way at the factory. The barrel is a lightweight "pencil barrel", with good riflings & shiney bore. Overall condition is good with handling & use marks, dents, scratches, dings & such for it's age.
