Description:
Serial #X7450, .303 British, 25” barrel with a very good, bright bore that has some mild freckling within the grooves. This “B” marked, BSA-made rifle has retained about 70-75% of an arsenal re-applied blue finish with extensive fading and silvering at the muzzle, as well as along the exposed projections, high points, and bearing surfaces. The non-matching bolt has deep pits on the handle under a later phosphate finish, and commercial proofs are present on the right side of the barrel at the muzzle. The handguards and “(Broad Arrow)/C” stamped forend have an overall dark brown finish with a few small handling marks and blemishes scattered about, and the buttstock has a matching oil finish. A lightly freckled magazine, numbered to a different rifle, is included, and a khaki canvassling is installed. This is a nice, arsenal refurbished No. 4, and rates very good plus condition overall.
