Description:
This pistol is in the box, untouched and as it came Issued by the U.S. Historical Society. The revolver is a replica of the Colt Model 1851 Navy. It is .36 caliber with six-shot cylinder and 7 ½” octagonal barrel. The revolver is extensively decorated with gold etching on the barrel, loading lever, cylinder, frame and hammer. The back strap and trigger guard are gold plated. It is a limited edition of 2,500 which were produced during 1984. The suggested retail price was $ 2,100.00. It is in mint unfired condition with all of the original blue finish remaining on the barrel, loading lever, frame, hammer and trigger. One piece walnut grips are present with the Robert E. Lee medallion inlaid on the left side. It is in a walnut case with leather embossed panel in the lid. Included in the case is a silver medallion with a bust of Robert E. Lee on one side and Robert E. Lee on a horse on the reverse. A silver plated Dixon eagle flask is included along with several gold plated lead balls, key for the case and a silver cap tin engraved “R.E. Lee.” The case is lined in gray velvet. Overall condition is New/ excellent. Along with the pistol you will receive all of the original paperwork, invoices and cert of authenticity.
