A very hard to find original Deluxe embossed hardback edition of Colt's 100th anniversary catalog.Published in 1937,this 96 page catalog gives a detailed history of the company from its founding in 1836 through 1936.There are detailed photos and discussions of every firearm Colt built in that period.There is also a photo and written tour of the factory and discussions of their manufacturing processes.Also included is an article by Col.Charles Askins on how to become an expert shot.There are ballistics tables and info on all the cartridges Colt built for at the time.This copy is in very good condition with only a slight bit of wear on the corners.There is the name "A.H.Reupke 2608 LeClarie St. Davenport,Iowa" written in pencil on the title page.The book is otherwise unmarked.This is the ultimate reference book on early Colts and the deluxe editions are hard to find in good condition.There were many paperback editions printed,but the deluxe embossed books were saved for good customers,distributors,and VIPS.A must for the serious Colt collector.
