High condition Colt detective special Aprox 98%+, Ser# 476,575 38special cal, Mfg in 1941 Round Butt Original blue finish, minty bore and cylinder, front and rear grip straps like new, locks up perfect in single and double action,grips in excellent condition with a little diamond wear. a solid piece made in 1941 but not shipped until 1947 according the Factory letter that comes with. The ser# range is in the military range but with a round butt and shipped to a retailer in Greensboro, North Carolina. Only 3,000 Detectives were made in 1941 so its a hard year to find. One line address on the right side of the barrel. It waited 6 years to be shipped in 1947? A high condition 76 year old snubby Colt with drawer wear , bankers gun? light wear between the cylinders near the bolt locking cuts like it moved around on its left side for years.
