Gun has 40% of the original period finish. This gun was shipped to Wexell and Degress in New York. Most New York firms would purchase guns with blued finish from Colt and have the nickel finish done themselves. Action works perfectly. Pearl grips are of the period. Gun comes with a factory letter that says this gun was sold to Wexell and Debress. This was a firm located in Texas and Mexico that sold both to the military and commercially. This gun is in really great condition for a gun that most likely ended up south of the border. SOLD |
