Offered is a Rare chance to acquire perhaps the ONLY CONSECUTIVE pair of S/42 1939 Police sear safety Lugers known. Serial numbers are 9034n and 9035n. Conditions are all original and matching including the grips. At least 97% of the original blue remains on both pistols with some light high edge wear from being holstered. The bores in both pistols are likewise excellent. The matching numbered grips are sharp with no chips or cracks. Magazines are not matching but are proper and original WWII. Jan Still in THIRD REICH LUGERS estimates that only 600 such S/42 1939 Lugers were made in the m and n serial block. (see page 40) See also THE MAUSER PARABELLUM 1930-1946 by Hallock and van de Kandt pages 182-183 and 197. To find one of these pistols in fine matching original condition is difficult, but to find a consecutive pair with both being in 97% original condition is nearly impossible.
