Description:
Available for purchase is this absolutely beautiful S&W Highway Patrolman with a 6" barrel. This is a very early 5 screw S frame. Based on the serial number, it was made in 1956-57, so would be considered a pre model 28. Not marked 28 on the frame in front of the cylinder. It is a gorgeous gun with beautiful brushed satin blue, mint bore. Shot very little, I would say the finish is a pretty solid 98%. Unfortunately, someone decided to cut down and refinish the original diamond grips. That is why it is priced the way it is. No box or papers.
