NEAR MINT REMINGTON U.S. ARMY MODEL 1871 ROLLING BLOCK .50CF CAL. SINGLE SHOT PISTOL CA. EARLY 1870’S. Brilliant overall with vivid color case hardened frame. All original and matching in the 3xxx range. Barrel retains 99% bright blue. Near mint screws. Perfect markings including the Remington address and patent dates (1864 & 1866) on the frame, the “P” and “S” inspection proofs and the “CRS” script U.S. Army inspector’s cartouche on the grip. Stock and forend with all the original finish. Mint bore and perfect working order. Really superior example which are seldom seen with bright case colors.
