Description:
S&W 1940 Light Rifle Mark I, 9mm, 20 round magazine, fires from a open bolt 9 3/4" fluted barrel, black Tenonite stock. Produced before the outbreak of WWII for the British armies in the early 1939. S&W found 217 remained at S&W factory until a dealer negotiated Curio & Relic Firearms status with BATF. Their are only 137 MK I and 80 MK II rifles. Very rare. Few minor handling marks on the 99% original factory blued finish. Mechanically excellent. A superb example of a very scarce military arm. C&R rules apply.
