Remington Arms. Model 1882 Army contract Lee bolt action rifle. Cal 45-70. 32" round barrel with a very good bright bore. This is a (SCARCE) Army Contract Remington-Lee Rifle. This rifle was produced under contract to the US Army and is so marked on the top of barrel. There were approximately 750 made. Inspectors initials on bolt and receiver, strong cartouhe on buttstock. . Has original cleaning rod, standard rear sight graduated from 100-500 yards on the base and 600-1200 on the ladder with the military front sight. Nice blue case hardened finish. Walnut stock. Detachable magazine. All original. Serial # 9584.
