Tiny GERMAN Ring Trigger Double Action Revolver
Numbered “22” with Unique Brass Grip Panels
Here we present an antique German Ring Trigger Revolver, made circa the late 19th Century. This double action revolver was designed to be a very small self-defense revolver to fit inside a pocket in 19th Century Europe. The ring trigger was not simply a fashion statement. Such a small pistol benefits greatly in handling from it, allowing the shooter to manage trigger reset better than an open-faced trigger. The action also functions in single action mode.
The overall condition is very good. The German proof markings of “Crown/U” are clear on the revolver’s frame and cylinder. The number “22” is found on the face of the cylinder as well as on the grip frame under the panel. The grip panels are very interestingly made of brass, a very unusual choice, perhaps to give the gun a little more weight in-hand. The bore is very good. The action is functional.
