Antique W. Ketland & Co. Flintlock Pistol
London Marked with Liege Proof
Here we present an antique W. Ketland & Co. Flintlock Pistol, made circa the early 1800s. This pistol was designed to make massive holes in things, especially in self-defense. This pistol would have been a horse carried pistol or perhaps even worn on a belt. The Ketland family was famous for exporting firearms components from Britain during the early-19th Century.
This specimen is marked “W. Ketland & Co.” on the lock, “LONDON” on the barrel and Liege proofed as well.
The overall condition is very good. The metal is bright with clear markings. The stock is solid. The bore is fair. The action is strong.
