Description:
ON LAYAWAY A pre-war man-sized gun with 28" 2 1/2" barrels recently UK proofed at 3 tons with bores R 728/718 (IC) and 728/704 (tight Mod). Classic Rigby look down to the lever release forend. Bright receiver is tastefully scroll-engraved, with bushed strikers, gold SAFE detail, and third bite. Marked "Class B". Toplever and lockplate screws have fresh finish (in England) indicating recent service. Fiddle-grained straight stock, minor chipping at rear of locks, LOP 14.5" through 1/2" wood extension, drops 1 1/2" and 2 1/8" with noticeable (3/8") cast off. Close to 7lb (I suspect this was a live pigeon gun before the chokes were opened up.) The real deal.
