Description: Springfield 1922 .22 Hornet. Marked serial number “3”, on the top of the barrel proximal from the front sight is marked per the standard Springfield markings with a “4-22”. On the bolt handle “WL3” is marked on the top and “716” on the bottom. No other visible stamped markings, although there is “4307” electro penciled on the receiver. 24" barrel with a good bore. Sharply checkered butt plate, stock in excellent shape, normal action wear and some user wear on the finish including some scratches, also note some superficial rust on the trigger guard and floorplate. Authentic standard Lyman rear sight. Follower and spring are missing. Possible Prototype or early production. SOLD |
