This Remington 700 Stainless 5-R Mil-Spec rifle appears to be new and comes with the original factory box and all paperwork. This rifle is a Remington 700 on steroids. Built off the legendary 700 action, the Remington 700 5-R Mil-Spec sets the benchmark for accuracy and durability. Much like M-24 that is used by elite military snipers, the barrel is cold hammer forged and features 5-R rifling. The 5-R rifling profile increases barrel life expectancy, accuracy and creates less fouling and bullet deformation over time. Whether you’re a bench rest shooter or longtime hunter, this is the go to rifle for better reliability and precision. The 5-R Mil-Spec features these additional enhancements: •Model 700 Stainless Steel Action featuring the “3-Rings of Steel” makes for a stronger action. •5-R hammer-forged barrel with rifling like that is used in famous M-24 military rifles for the utmost in shot-to-shot consistency. •H.S. Precision composite stock features full-length aluminum bedding blocks for enhanced stability and shot-to-shot consistency. •Dual front swivel stud system for convenient mounting of bi-pod and sling. •X-Mark Pro externally adjustable trigger. This rifle is in excellent condition and features a H.S. Precision composite stock. The rifle has a 24 inch heavy barrel allowing you to reach out to that far away target. The gun is chambered in .308 WIN. The trigger is light and crisp. The metal surfaces are also in excellent condition and the bolt is jewel finished. Weight is 8 pounds, 7 ounces. The receiver is tapped for the installation of scope ring mounts or a rail. The butt is a Remington rubber recoil pad. This is a great rifle for the serious collector, long range shooter or hunter.
